My journey began with representing images in a perceptual manner.  It is now following a transitional path to painting conceptually while utilizing the landscape in a more contemporary way.  The paintings have become an intuitive reaction to shapes and lines incorporating a poetic and musical reference.  Melody, harmony and rhythm are consistent elements in my contemporary landscapes.  Expressive brushwork, colour and form define the landscape and figure resulting in a personal visual dialogue.
